Description
Apartments ‘’Candela’’ are located in Starigrad Paklenica, a small and quiet holiday resort located between the mountain range of Velebit and the Adriatic sea. Their 2000 square meter property offers privacy and a unique insight into mediterranean culture due to its unusual combination of a beautiful private beach on one side and a mountain range on the other side.
Apartment No.3 is located on the second floor. It consists of a kitchen, a dining area, a living area, a bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen has modern appliances and is fully equipped. The dining area is connected to the kitchen and is equipped with a table for 4 people. The living area is equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite programs and a sofa bed that can accommodate 2. The bedroom is equipped with a queen sized bed and a dresser. The dining area has access to a furnished balcony and has a partial view of the sea.
Aside from the balcony, the guests also have access to a 160m2 shared terrace with a gorgeous panoramic view which is equipped with tables and benches and a grill. The property has its own 400m2 private beach with loungers (in the sun and in the shade) and a small, quiet bar equipped with drinks, coffee machine and a TV.
Parking space (2 parking lots), air-conditioning, internet (wifi), loungers, satellite TV, bed sheets and towels, bicycles, grill and the beach bar are all included in the price.
Available for use with charged extra: motor boat, rowing boat, buoy, canoe, fishing rods, boat mooring place.
High chair for children + crib on request.
I give my guests space but am available when needed.
The city of Starigrad has a rich history dating to the pre-roman era. It was built on the remains of the ancient city of Argyruntum. Numerous excavation sites tell the stories of the culture that used to live on this area. From various objects from paleolithic age found in the caves of mount Velebit, to massive city walls and unique tombstones of the Roman era, this city has a lot to offer to both the curious and the adventurous. The city of Zadar, located in the vicinity, has a vast heritage and is ideal for sightseeing, as well as a couple of other smaller towns with equally impressive heritage both cultural and architectural.
Numerous parks and places with untouched nature can be found nearby. National parks, with rich flora and fauna, and rivers with crystal clear water, river Zrmanja for example, ideal for rafting are located around cca. 15 km from the house. The spectacular mountain range of Velebit, protected by the National park 'Paklenica' (cca.4km) offers beautiful hiking, jogging and cycling trails (over 200km long), as well as numerous places for rock climbing and bungee jumping. This relatively small area has an abundance of geomorphological phenomena and forms, like ‘’Manita peć’’ and ‘’Cerovačke pećine’’. You can also 'follow in the footsteps' of the movie 'Winnetou' which was filmed in Paklenica. On the other side the 89 karst islands, islets and reefs of the National park Kornati, often referred to as 'nautical paradise' can be reached with a one-day boat ride from Zadar.
The house is easily accessed by car. The nearest gas station (electric vehicle charging station) and infirmary are around 2 km away. The pharmacy is around 1.2 km away, with plenty of grocery stores and restaurants in a 600m radius.

The place is great, with private access to the water, close enough to zadar for a morning trip to visit it. Also the residence is 5 minutes car away from the national park where you can have great hikes or climbs! We would definitely go back!

They picked us up from the airport and the apartment was in a superb location very close to the national park and right on the sea. The bikes were in good shape so we used these a lot. The kayak and stand up paddle boards were great fun and always ousee more

The kayak and stand up paddle boards were great fun and always out for us to use. We were near a lot of small shops and a bigger supermarket wasn’t far away by bike or foot. We were welcomed on our first day to a meal which was amazing. Thank you so much to our lovely host!!“

One of rare situations where the reality is better than the pictures! The beach and the house are surrounded with pine trees and grand garden. You can tell that everything has been built with respect to nature -- garden is grand, much larger then thesee more
One of rare situations where the reality is better than the pictures! The beach and the house are surrounded with pine trees and grand garden. You can tell that everything has been built with respect to nature -- garden is grand, much larger then the house which immediately gives you a sense of calmness and connection to nature. Safe private beach with lot's of natural shade and free to use equipment such as beach beds, kayak, paddle board or sea air mattress cleanness, beautiful garden and apartments just few meters away from the sea are the perfect setting for easy and relaxed vacation with kids. At the same time, I could easily imagine myself here alone, just contemplating in the shade, observing the sea. Everything at Candela is spotlessly clean and taken care of. The owner is always there if you need them, and is very friendly and helpful. Apartment it self is new, decently equipped, basic but sufficient. It could be useful to add few more bowls or salat pots.

Der Ort ist zwar voll mit Österreichern und Deutschen aber hat auch einen netten Charme und es wäre auch für länger eine tolle Unterkunft. |

Wir waren eine Woche hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt . Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt, es gibt Schatten durch Bäume aber auch sonnige Bereiche am Strand. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und kümmert sich ständig selbst um Sauberkeit und Ordnung auf der Anlage . Die Selbstbedienungsbar am Strand ist ebenfalls Spitze bei den Temperaturen. Kasse des Vetrauens finde ich großzügich.

Hier ist auch eine Bar vorhanden von der man sich Getränke nehmen kann und am Ende des Aufenthalts bezahl. Hier auf jeden Fall die Preise erfragen, da die Preise dem eines Lokals entsprechen, was uns nicht klar war. Die Lage des Apartments ist super, es gibt viele gute Restaurants in der Nähe. Deutsch wird überall gut verstanden. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Spuer schöne Gegend, ein wunderschöner privat Strand. Super nette, zuvorkommende Vermieter. Ein Oase zum geniessen wurde da von Mirko und seiner Ehefrau erschaffen.

Toll eingerichtete Appartements, gepflegter und pfiffig angelegter Garten und Strand, überaus hilfsbereite und freundliche Vermieter. Die Appartements waren sauber, gut eingerichtet und entsprachen absolut der Beschreibung. Die Klimaanlage war bei den Temperaturen sehr hilfreich. Der Garten war terrassenförmig angelegt und man konnte sich aussuchen ob man im Schatten oder der Sonne verweilen wollte. Zudem war der Garten sehr gepflegt und sauber, Liegen waren in ausreichender Menge vorhanden und der Strand war extra mit Kiesel angeschüttet worden. Ein Bootsanleger direkt am Haus war das Sahnehäubchen. Das Vermieterehepaar war unglaublich hilfsbereit und freundlich und sich für keine Bitte zu schade. Zudem konnte man in den Abendstunden auch bei einem lockeren Gespräch noch gemütlich zusammen sitzen und sich den ein- oder anderen Tipp zu Restaurants oder Ausflügen holen. Die große Terrasse direkt am Haus bot einen tollen Ausblick und lud gerade abends zum Verweilen ein. Wir würden jederzeit diese Unterkunft weiterempfehlen und auch nochmals buchen, es gab absolut nix zu meckern!

Das Zimmer war zwar etwas anders als bei der Buchung angegeben, aber trotzdem sehr schön. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Der Privatstrand und die Liegeterrassen am Meer sind nicht zu toppen. Wie im Paradies!

Apartments ‘’Candela’’ are located in Starigrad Paklenica, a small and quiet holiday resort located between the mountain range of Velebit and the Adriatic sea. Their 2000 square meter property offers privacy and a unique insight into mediterranean culture due to its unusual combination of a beautiful private beach on one side and a mountain range on the other side.
Apartment No.5 is located on the second floor. It consists of a kitchen, a dining area, a living area, a bedroom and a bathroom. The kitchen has modern appliances and is fully equipped. The dining area is connected to the kitchen and is equipped with a table for 4 people. The living area is equipped with a flat screen TV with satellite programs and a sofa bed that can accommodate 2. The bedroom is equipped with a queen sized bed and a wardrobe. The dining area has access to a furnished balcony and has a view of the sea.
Aside from the balcony, the guests also have access to a 160m2 shared terrace with a gorgeous panoramic view which is equipped with tables and benches and a grill. The property has its own 400m2 private beach with loungers (in the sun and in the shade) and a small, quiet bar equipped with drinks, coffee machine and a TV.
Parking space (2 parking lots), air-conditioning, internet (wifi), loungers, satellite TV, bed sheets and towels, bicycles, grill and the beach bar are all included in the price.

The city of Starigrad has a rich history dating to the pre-roman era. It was built on the remains of the ancient city of Argyruntum. Numerous excavation sites tell the stories of the culture that used to live on this area. From various objects from paleolithic age found in the caves of mount Velebit, to massive city walls and unique tombstones of the Roman era, this city has a lot to offer to both the curious and the adventurous. The city of Zadar, located in the vicinity, has a vast heritage and is ideal for sightseeing, as well as a couple of other smaller towns with equally impressive heritage both cultural and architectural.
Numerous parks and places with untouched nature can be found nearby. National parks, with rich flora and fauna, and rivers with crystal clear water, river Zrmanja for example, ideal for rafting are located around cca. 15 km from the house. The spectacular mountain range of Velebit, protected by the National park 'Paklenica' (cca.4km) offers beautiful hiking, jogging and cycling trails (over 200km long), as well as numerous places for rock climbing and bungee jumping. This relatively small area has an abundance of geomorphological phenomena and forms, like ‘’Manita peć’’ and ‘’Cerovačke pećine’’. You can also 'follow in the footsteps' of the movie 'Winnetou' which was filmed in Paklenica. On the other side the 89 karst islands, islets and reefs of the National park Kornati, often referred to as 'nautical paradise' can be reached with a one-day boat ride from Zadar.
The house is easily accessed by car. The nearest gas station (electric vehicle charging station) and infirmary are around 2 km away. The pharmacy is around 1.2 km away, with plenty of grocery stores and restaurants in a 600m radius.1 review -
